Welcome to biology!
I’m Mrs. Gaulding and I’m so excited to be teaching you this year! I’m originally from Orlando, Florida, however, I’ve lived in the Atlanta area before while I completed my B.S. in biology at Emory University. I got my Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a focus on science education. My husband and I just moved back to Georgia this summer, and are thrilled to be back!
I’ve spent time at a plant ecology lab in a magnificent pine forest and ecological reserve in southwestern Georgia, in an Emory pediatric clinic that specializes in Fragile X Syndrome and other genetic disorders, at a coastal ecology field station in Baja California Sur, Mexico where grey whales and green sea turtles lived literally outside of our front door, and in a clinical research office at Duke University Medical Center. I’m thrilled to be sharing these experiences and more with you this year!
